KC Protective Services LLC
Special Response Protection Agent - Now filling the deployment list!

Assignment:

Response to natural and manmade disasters. Typical disasters are hurricanes and wildfires. KC Protective Services (KCPS) provides a safe and secure environment for the engineers and construction workers during the planning and rebuilding phases of a disaster. The length of these assignments can be weeks to months, depending on the needs of the client and the length of time it takes to rebuild.


Starting Pay: $30/hr. Per diem: $75/day. Housing and travel to and from assignment are covered. Overtime rate applies to any 1-day more than 12 hours. Day rates can increase dependent on location, environment and lodging available. Rental vehicles will be provided on some occasions.
 

Availability:

  • Must be able to deploy within 24-48 hours of request (could be longer in some instances)
  • Must be flexible to work different schedules depending on the assignment (schedules can change with each assignment).
  • Must be available to work both days or nights as needed and must be available to work overtime (when necessary). 


Position Type:

  • This assignment is security in nature. Only those with applicable experience will be considered.
  • Guaranteed a minimum of 12 hours per day.
  • This could be an armed or unarmed position dependent on the assignment
  • These positions are reserved for U.S. Military Veterans (preferred), Law Enforcement trained/experienced, career level security      professionals and Executive Security International (ESI) graduates.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to the safety and security of property, assets, equipment, proprietary information,      and personnel.

About the job (varies based on state/location/site):

  • Excellent customer service, safety and security will always be your top priority.
  • You will observe, survey the area, and provide reporting on the activity at your assigned location.
  • You will provide rapid response in critical situations.
  • You will display the necessary “command presence” to  deter any potential wrongdoing in your assigned area.
  • You will write detailed reports, when necessary.
  • You will enforce customer procedures, regulations, and  standards.
  • Some vehicle patrols of various properties may be necessary.
  • Inside and outside foot patrols may be necessary.
  • Access control responsibilities.
  • Badge checking and issuing (at some locations).
  • Inbound and outbound vehicle check-ins (at some locations).
  • Other security duties as assigned.
  • On-the-job training provided for each location, when  needed.


 Qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent (GED).
  • U.S. Military veterans preferred
  • No offensive tattoos shall be visible. (Nature of offensiveness will be identified by client/management).
  • Law enforcement training and experience a plus.
  • Must always present yourself in a professional manner, on and off duty.
  • Must be groomed and dressed appropriately for the assignment. Beards are acceptable in most cases.
  • Must be able to pass the screening process.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of  time.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Prior security or related experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license 
  • Reliable transportation to and from work. (Transportation  provided for some assignments, as needed)
  • At least 21 years of age, 18 or older in some cases.
  • Local security license(s) or ability to obtain and  maintain (will help to obtain, if necessary, based on local municipality  and state requirements).
  • Availability to work overtime, when needed.
  • Concealed Carry Permits (CCP) are helpful for many reciprocating  states.

 Education, certifications, and licenses:

· Must be able to provide proof of veteran status, licenses, CCP/CCW and certifications, as needed to be considered for the job opportunity. A resume, bio and headshot will be required (headshot will need to look professional, include waste and above, shoulders visible and from the front view). Please use neutral background. 


Equipment:

· Must provide own firearm (9mm, .40 or .45). Other calibers can be considered on a case-by-case basis.

· Must provide own flashlight (minimum of 2). Pocket size is acceptable and recommended.

· Must provide own clothing (unless uniforms are required in which case will be provided). Most assignments are plain clothes. No derogatory attire will be acceptable. Typical attire consists of tactical pants and button up shirt. Examples will be provided.

· Must provide own cold weather and wet weather gear.

· Must provide own footwear. Solomon and Merrill are acceptable. No tennis shoes.

· Headgear is typically authorized and encouraged.

· Environment could be muddy/wet. Come prepared with change of clothes/footwear.

· A recommended packing list will be provided at a later date.

· The country is expecting a heavy hurricane season. We encourage submitting your application even if you are not ready to deploy immediately. Other opportunities could arise soon.

· Special accommodations are often made during emergency response regarding licenses and weapons used to secure clients and their mission. We will keep you informed of special requirements.

The reason firearms training is so important for your safety is because most firearms accidents are actually caused by not following basic gun safety rules. KC Protective Services provides corporate security teams and corporate employees with up-to-date, live-fire and scenario-based training to assist them with knowledge and tactical skills to mitigate common armed threats.

Medical Support

Doctors, RN's, Paramedics, Tactical Medics and EMT support can be added to any assignment if desired.  All Protection Agents are trained as medical First Responders, as a minimum standard. 


Special Forces Medical Sergeants (18D)

Our senior medics are Special forces medical sergeants have very demanding physical requirements. Good eyesight, night vision and physical conditioning are required to reach mission objectives via parachute, land or water. Also required is excellent hand-eye coordination to detonate or deactivate explosives. In most instances, special forces medical sergeants are required to be qualified divers, parachutists and endurance runners.


Due to the wide variety of missions, special forces medical sergeants are trained swimmers, paratroopers and survival experts, as well as trained in many forms of combat. Training for the special forces medical sergeants consists of 60 weeks of formal classroom training and practice exercises. 


Special Forces Medical Sergeants are responsible for but not limited to:


  • Providing initial medical screening and evaluation of allied and indigenous personnel
  • Providing examination and care to detachment members
  • Supervise medical care and treatment during missions
  • Operate a combat laboratory and treat emergency and trauma patients
  • Develop and provide medical intelligence as required
