The outline to our firearms training program can be cropped and molded to fit the needs of the client. The one constant is the four fundamentals of firearm safety:
1. Treat all firearms as if they are loaded.
2. Never let the muzzle cover anything that you are not willing to destroy.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you have made the decision to shoot.
4. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.
The information below and to the right will provide a little more insight to our program:
Purpose:
The KC Protective Services training program is designed to train corporate security officers, private investigators, EP agents and other individuals who will be performing their duties in various environments and in various dress attire. The pace and difficulty levels of our program will be determined by the knowledge, experience and abilities of the individuals being trained.
The intent:
The information provided in our training program is not a complete work on any individual subject. The program is a collection of training methodologies to help guide each individual with the basic understanding of safe and appropriate training techniques in order to remain proficient and tactically sound when operating as an individual or as a member of a team.
Training progression:
Firearms training should follow a step-by-step progression to build an individual’s skillset. All individuals must prove their proficiency with basic skills prior to implementing any new or advanced techniques, tactics or exercises. Safety must be considered before conducting any advanced training as a group with individuals who are not up to speed with basic level qualifications.
Disclaimer:
This program is presented with the understanding that the instructors and program designers do not render any legal, accounting or other professional advice or services. It is intended for use as a basis for general firearms training, and is not intended to be an all-inclusive resource, treatise,
or restatement of the law, nor is it intended to establish specific standards of care, nor should it be used for that purpose.
